As a community, we believe strongly in the relational foundation of the gospel, and God’s deep desire to love us, for us to love Him, and for us to love the world out of that relationship. This section describe how we see this vision, and it’s implementation into the community context that is West Ridge.

 

Lost: We are responsible to provide gospel answers to man’s needs. Therefore, we don’t just fix external problems; we lead people to experience Jesus as Lord and Saviour (Jn.14:6).

 

Relationship: Relationship is both the means and the ends of Christian ministry. Everything we do is to create opportunities for reciprocal relationships (Mt.22:37-40).

 

Journey: We believe in people driven ministry, believing that every person is called to reach the lost and to make disciples, and evaluating their maturity and spiritual growth by their reception of truth, responding in repentance, and obeying faith. (Mt.28:18-20, Eph. 4:11-12, Phil. 3:13-14, Acts 20:21).

 

Servants: Servants are called to make others great by modeling humility and service, authenticity and meekness, and to lead with a clear “purpose, people and plan” (2Ti.2: 2; 2Co.10: 8, Eph. 1 Peter 5).

 

Church: We believe that we are called to “be the church”. A church that is “being the church” is a community that lives in the beautiful tension between intimacy and mission. (Mt.10: 8; 1Pe.2: 9).
